Community

“A rising tide lifts all boats.” My goal is to bring as much funding into our community as possible. To date I have helped to secure over $3.3M in foundation, corporate, and government funding to support local nonprofits and the people they serve. In order to do this, I don’t specialize—I have clients in the arts, social services, early childhood, youth development, disability, and aging.

Honesty

I will disclose any conflicts of interests and be truthful about any limitations to my professional experience, knowledge, and expertise.

Confidentiality

I will maintain at all times the confidentiality of all client information, both during and after the term of my contract.

Ethics

I will not accept or pay a finder's fee, commission, or percentage compensation based on grants.

Teamwork

Successful grant writing is a team approach. I provide high-quality research and writing, strategic thinking, effective project management, and storytelling techniques. I rely on my clients for their expertise, institutional knowledge, and passion for their organization’s mission and goals.

Excellence

Successful grant writing goes well beyond just submitting proposals by the deadline. I guarantee all grant submissions will be prepared to the highest standards of the grants profession, aligned to each funder’s priorities, and designed to receive full consideration by the grantor.

Harmony

I work exclusively with organizations that are in alignment with my values of social and racial justice, inclusion, and gender equality. I believe that embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion is a way to intentionally make space for positive outcomes to flourish. StoryForge collaborates with nonprofit organizations who are committed to a process of making internal changes to their leadership, governance, staff, programs, and services in order to achieve greater social, economic, and political equity for people of color, LGBTQIA+ people, religious minorities, immigrants, people with disabilities, people experiencing homelessness, people living in poverty, and other historically marginalized communities. Each organization is on its own path to addressing bias and achieving equity, and that this effort is ongoing. StoryForge is here to collaborate with nonprofit professionals who share this vision and actively seek to examine internal biases and adopt practices that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion for all.
